Manchester Hackspace is a not-for-profit community workshop, providing a space to get creative, practise your skills and have fun.

There are no shareholders nor investors to please, and we rely entirely on volunteer effort to stay open and accessible. Our members are the primary source of help to keep the space open, but we are always more than happy to accept donations and time from anyone who wishes to support our mission.

Many employers provide their staff paid volunteering days in the local community, and we’re happy to facilitate this sort of day. Whether it’s just one of you, or a whole team, it’s something a bit different to tree planting.

We always have a whole range of tasks to choose from. It could be anything from making shadow boards to servicing tools, designing posters to building some shelves.

If you’re keen to help out, please email us at volunteering[at]hacman.org.uk

Fix Up Mornings

Monday and Thursdays throughout the year.

Our fix up mornings are a fantastic time to come along to hackspace, meet the community and help out. An experienced member will be on hand to find a task that suits you and the skills you either have or would like to develop. It’s a casual morning of DIY for a good cause, paired nicely with tea, coffee and sweet treats.

Please drop us a message in advance so we know you’re coming. Email Mike at volunteering[at]hacman.org.uk to register your interest.
